Event summary

On the occasion of World Pharmacist day, a intellect conceptualized Pharma-Quiz competition was organized in our Institution. This event was held from 2:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. in the seminar hall of our Institution on 25th Sept 2021.

The completion was held in three stages: Stage-1 was written stage, Stage-2 was oral elimination stage with three rounds and Stage-3 was final showdown stage with again three rounds. In written round participants were provided with 30 questions to clear this round. The grand show of Stage-2 & 3 commenced with the arrival of various teams and audience. Everyone sat glued to the show. The teams were innovatively named as, Team-Suspension, Team-Elixir, Team-Syrup, Team-Tablet, Team-Capsule, Team-Lotion. Overall 80 students participated in this competition.

Then the rules for the competition were announced which were:

STAGE -2 (ELIMINATION STAGE)

ROUND-1 (MCQ Round)

• Each team was asked 3 questions of 5 marks each. They were given 30 seconds for each question.
• If the allotted team was unable to answer the question then was passed on to the audience.
• Audience was given a token of appreciation for each correct answer.

ROUND-2 (Without options Round)

• Each team was asked 3 questions of 5 marks each. They were given 30 seconds for each question.
• If the allotted team was unable to answer the question then was passed on to the audience.
• Audience was given a token of appreciation for each correct answer.

ROUND-3 (Buzzer Round)

• There were 6 questions in this round. Team raising their hand first was given chance to answer the question in 30 seconds.
• When answered correctly, Team was awarded with 15 marks

The 4 teams those were having the highest score were selected for Stage-3
