Hospital Visit of B.Pharm Students to Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Greater Noida – Organized by GNIT College of Pharmacy
GN Group of Institutes GNIT College of Pharmacy, Greater Noida a premier institute in the field of pharmaceutical education, consistently emphasizes the importance of practical exposure alongside theoretical knowledge. In alignment with this educational philosophy, GNITCP organized an insightful hospital visit for its B.Pharm. 3rd & 4th year students to Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Greater Noida on October 24, 2024, supervised by Dr. Richa Tiwari, Ms. Gargee kundu & Ms. Mamta Kathait, experienced & highly qualified faculty members of GNITCP.
Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital is a well-established multispecialty hospital in Greater Noida. It is renowned for its high standards of patient care and advanced medical facilities.The visit began with a detailed tour of the hospital pharmacy. which introduced to the daily operations of a hospital pharmacy, including the procurement, storage, and dispensing of medications. We thanks to all Experienced staff of Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital engaged with the students, explaining their roles in ensuring correct dosages, monitoring patient drug regimens, managing drug inventories, preparation of intravenous medications and special precautions required for handling critical drugs. The visit further extended into the wards, where students learned about Clinical Pharmacy and Patient Interactions. Beyond the pharmacy, students explored other critical units of the hospital such as the ICU and emergency departments.
Some key takeaways from the visit included Hands-on Training of students on Basic Life Support(BLS), Importance of Effective Communication between pharmacists, doctors, nurses, and patients to ensure the best healthcare services, ensuring patient safety particularly through the prevention of medication errors.
The visit, aimed at bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world healthcare settings, provided the students with a unique opportunity to observe and understand the practical aspects of hospital pharmacy and healthcare operations.
GN GROUP OF INSTITUTES, GNIT College of Pharmacy, Greater Noida, organized a Hospital visit for Pharmacy students. On October 12th, 2023, the Greater Noida welcomed B.Pharm. & D.Pharm. students with our faculty members (Dr.Rashmi, Ms.Gargee Kundu, Mr. Gaurav Saxena and Mr. Gurudayal Yadav.)
To interact with hospitals to understand different departments and processes of pharma industries with novel approaches. Students eagerly waited to listen to the hospital's higher authorities during this visit.
Apollo Cradle & Children and Apollo Spectra Hospitals is a multi speciality hospital with 50 beds.
Batch of 60 students with faculty member had visited the hospital. It is a specialist hospital that gives the advantage of expert and quality healthcare with all the benefits of a large hospital but in a friendlier and more accessible facility. Apollo Spectra Hospitals provides patients with a wide range of critical care, including Orthopaedics and spine, General and laparoscopic Surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Bariatrics, and General Medicine. It is equipped with the most advanced and state-of-the-art facilities.
Our students have gained valuable knowledge about Hospital management for public health services. They were committed to acquiring a better understanding of various departments of hospital management, such as the Emergency ward, Minor surgery ward, Pharmacy, ICU, operation theater, NICU, and Pathology lab. Students became aware of various topics and developed a firm grasp of the core concepts of medical health care.
With the cooperation of hospital staff, students took up various knowledge about the emergency room, explained various management skills, and then went to the hospital and showed us some laboratory equipment that they use to do various experiments, dialysis room, Minor OT care unit where they treat people with medical related problems. Finally, students went to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), treating people in critical condition.
The whole visit was mostly based on seeing the doctors in action and the doctors giving talks about careers and prospects.
GNIT college of pharmacy, Greater Noida, organised an Hospital visit for Pharmacy students On November 26th, 2022, the I.T.S Surya Hospital, Greater Noida, , welcomed B.pharm. and D.Pharm. students and four faculty members: Ms. Pinki Gupta , Ms. Anamika Gautam. Mr. Gaurav Saxena, Mr. Rohit Barua.
I.T.S Surya Hospital is a multi specialty hospital having 100 beds at present.
Our students have gained valuable knowledge about how Hospital management works for public health services. They were so committed to acquiring a better understanding of various departments of hospital management such as Emergency ward, Minor surgery ward, Pharmacy, ICU, operation theater, NICU, Pathology lab. Students got a broad awareness of a variety of topics and developed a firm grasp on the core concepts of medical health care.

GNIT college of pharmacy, Greater Noida, organised an Hospital visit for Pharmacy students On December 11, 2021, the NIMMS super speciality Hospital, 310 Kha bisrakh road, village Haldoni, post Kuleshra Greater Noida, G B Nagar, UP- 201306, welcomed 42 students and six faculty members: Ms. Sonam Kundral, Ms. Pinki Gupta, Mr. Jitendra Pratap Singh, Ms. Gargee Kundu, Ms. Nishu Gautam, Ms. Kajal Basoiya.

As the students entered into the hospital, innumerable number of people were involving in varied activities. There was a person chosen from the management of the hospital to give information to all about the treatment they give in the hospital. Then they took up the students to the emergency room and explained various management skills and then to laboratory of the hospital and showed us some laboratory equipment that they use to do various experiments.
After that they took up the students to the dialysis room where dialysis patients get their treatment.Then all the students went to the Minor OT care unit where they treat people with medical related problems. Students were mesmerized after seeing the huge machines they use in there. Finally, students went to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where they treat people in critical conditions. Various machineries and equipments used during the procedures were also demonstrated by them. The whole visit was mostly based on seeing the doctors in action and the doctors giving us talks about their career. They even showed how to talk to patients and how to conduct some tests.
The visit was over all significant. But the most exciting and the highlight of the visit was getting to know the various operational departments of hospital and knowledge gained by the interaction with medical professionals.A skit was performed by the students of B.Pharmacy on “SPREADING AWARNESS ON COVID-19” depicting the role of Pharmacists to assure the same and importance of vaccination for the on spread disease. The event was concluded by Vote of Thanks by Mr. Anil Sahdev, HOD, GNIT College of Pharmacy.
